Deposit and Refund Policy
• The first deposit is non-refundable, as it serves as a confirmation deposit. If the participant decides to withdraw for any reason, including illness, the deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• In the case of a documented visa denial, the enrollment may be deferred to the next available course session. The first deposit will be retained as a down payment for the rescheduled course.
• Once the course has begun, the student is responsible for the full payment of tuition, even in the case of an early withdrawal.
Enrollment Policy & Terms for Enthusiasts Courses
Gourmet Institute S.r.l. respects the right of withdrawal for clients enrolling in courses, in compliance with Articles 4 and 7 of the Enthusiasts Course Regulations. Below are the main details regarding the methods and terms for exercising the right of withdrawal and obtaining a refund of the amount paid.
Gift Cards are non-refundable as they fall under the exceptions outlined in Article 59, letter n) of the Consumer Code. This regulation excludes the right of withdrawal for contracts related to leisure activities that have a specific date or period of execution. Since Gift Cards are intended for leisure services and have a defined validity period (6 months), it is not possible to exercise the right of withdrawal for them (see Art. 4.3 of the Amateur Course Regulations).
Art. 7 – Right of Withdrawal
Communication Methods:
The withdrawal must be communicated through a written cancellation, sent via:

Registered mail with return receipt (R/R) addressed to:
Gourmet Institute S.r.l., Segreteria – Via Davanzati, 15 – 20158 Milan - Telegram, email, or fax, provided that these communications are confirmed via registered mail (R/R) within 48 hours.
Requirements for Valid Withdrawal:
The communication must include:
- Personal details of the registrant
- A copy of the course registration confirmation
- Bank details (bank account number and/or credit card) for the refund transfer.
Refund Timeframe:
In the event of a valid withdrawal, the amount paid will be refunded free of charge within 30 days of receiving the withdrawal communication.
Limitations to the Right of Withdrawal:
- Withdrawal cannot be exercised beyond the 14-day period.
- After this period, the right of participation can be transferred to a third party, provided written notice is given with the new participant’s details at least 48 hours before the course begins.
- The right of withdrawal does not apply if the purchased service begins before the end of the 14-day period.
Further Exclusions:
- Partial attendance of even one lesson is considered a waiver of the right of withdrawal.
- The right of withdrawal does not apply to clients purchasing for work, professional, or business purposes (holders of a VAT number).
